With spring around the corner and New York Fashion Week in full swing, people everywhere are eyeing the latest trends and designs from the best designers in the world. And while high-end couture and off-the-runway fashions will always be in high demand, so will be those unique fashion finds, the ones you seemingly stumble upon out of nowhere but that seem like they were made for you and only you.
Before you plan your holidays and trips for the rest of 2018, consider these four unique shopping destinations. This will increase your likelihood of finding your new favorite capsule outfit or must-have accessory (or three).
The Market at San Lorenzo – Florence, Italy
Known for its stunning location in the heart of one of Italy’s most popular destinations, the Market at San Lorenzo offers, among other things, some of the most enviable leather goods in the world. Florentines have been producing some of the most beautiful leather goods, gold jewelry, high-quality textiles, and paper stationery for centuries. Separated into two markets, indoor and outdoor, you’ll want to set aside at least one entire morning to be sure to not miss anything. Don’t forget to rub the wild boar’s nose for good luck!
*Florence happens to be my favorite city in the world. I’ve been there several times. I can plan you THE MOST AMAZING trip to Florence. <Keep that in mind. (wink, wink)>

Tokyo, Japan.
Leave it to Tokyo to create one of the most exciting shopping destinations in the world. Not only is it visually stunning, but the unique finds, from mini skirts to trench coats and statement jewelry, make this luxury shopping spot a highlight for any fashionista visiting the Japanese capital. Ginza, Roppongi, and Omotesando are the best places in Tokyo for a day of haute couture shopping.

San Telmo Market – Buenos Aires, Argentina
From the bustling streets lined with local vendors to the sensual sounds of tango music being played at nearby restaurants, the San Telmo Market is a hotspot in this South American capital. Keep an eye out for richly colored tapestries and beautiful leather tote bags. Unique jewelry handmade by memorable artisans makes a perfect gift.

Queen West – Toronto, Canada
As more of the fashion world begins to consciously embrace the idea of sustainability and the environment, you can be a step ahead by finding the best of the best vintage and second-hand clothing along this trendy Toronto street. New stores are making a name for themselves by not just selling second-hand clothes. Instead, they are repurposing and reimagining designs and materials, breathing life into fresh styles you’re sure to fall for.

I would add Orchard Road in Singapore… it’s just so over-the-top and opulent. Also, maybe the West Edmonton Mall, since you can go shopping AND ride a roller coaster AND play in a wave pool AND sleep in the back of a pick-up truck, all in once place!
Yes! These are great additions! Thank you, Carly.
